Stop accepting "they're just getting older." Start giving your dog the strength to keep up with life.

...so you can see your dog playing, exploring, and keeping up with you, and finally live the active senior years you hoped you'd share.

YOU LOVE THE IDEA OF CONTINUED WALKS, MORE ADVENTURES, AND MORE GOOD YEARS WITH YOUR DOG.

You see your dog trotting ahead on your favorite trail, then hopping into the car like it's nothing. You want more years of walks, adventures, and couch cuddles together.

And you know that to keep them moving comfortably as they age, they need to stay strong, flexible, and steady on their feet.

There's just one tiny little thing…

You're not sure what to do, or whether you're doing it right.

You know it's possible, but you can't figure out how without guessing at exercises you're afraid might hurt them, or just accepting that "they're getting old."

Let's face it... you're starting to notice the pause before they get up, the slower walks, and the hesitation at the stairs. And every time, the worry grows.

At this point, you may be thinking, "There's got to be a better way."

A way to keep your dog strong without complicated routines or fear of doing it wrong.

A way to build strength and balance in just 10 to 15 minutes a day.

A way to help your dog feel confident in their body again, so you can enjoy more adventures together.

Here's the thing… it's not your fault. Most owners are told slowing down is just part of aging, and generic videos don't show you where to start or how to progress. Without a clear plan, even the most loving owner ends up guessing.

If you want more happy, active years with your dog, you need a simple, step-by-step plan from someone who understands how dogs move and age.

That's exactly why I created Strong Foundations.

It is an 8 week, step by step plan designed by a Licensed Physical Therapist, and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist.

YOU CAN GIVE YOUR DOG MORE HAPPY, ACTIVE YEARS WITHOUT GUESSING AT EXERCISES, BUYING EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT OR WORRYING YOU'LL HURT THEM.

Giving your dog more happy, active years is easier than you think.

Picture this…

Your dog hears "walk?" and springs up off the floor, no slow, stiff pause first.

They trot beside you the whole way around the neighborhood, keeping up instead of lagging behind.

They hop into the car, climb the stairs, and jump onto the couch with confidence, and you stop holding your breath.

They're still playing, chasing the ball, wrestling with their toys, and acting like their younger self, even into their super senior years.

And you feel calm instead of worried, because you know exactly how to help them, how to tell they're improving, and when to check in with your vet.

Giving your dog the strength and mobility to enjoy more happy, active years by your side

Strong Foundations is the simplest way to keep your dog strong, comfortable, and moving with confidence as they age.

Strong Foundations is built around clear movement principles, simple progressions, and dog-friendly practice.

You need minimal equipment, a plan you can follow, exercises your dog can understand, and the confidence to support your dog one step at a time.

Hey There, I'm Dr Kat!

That works with dogs! (now you won't forget my name)

When I'm not reading Romantasy or sitting on a cabin porch staring into the trees, I'm helping devoted dog parents keep their aging dogs strong, comfortable, and moving with confidence.

Because I was once the worried owner watching my own dog struggle. When my golden retriever, Aurora, was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, I was told the options were medications and hope it doesn't get worse.

It was then that I decided to try a completely different approach. I took the same methods I was learning as a human physical therapist student, applied them to Aurora, and fast forward about a decade of treating humans, finally went on to become certified in canine rehabilitation so I could truly understand how dogs move.

Now I help dog parents like you do the same, because I know exactly what it feels like to be where you are, and I know there's another way to support our aging dogs.

Since then, I've helped over 600 families and their dogs, of all sizes, breeds, and ages, move easier and enjoy more good years together. Including my own girl, Shia, until she was 15 years old.

What would change for you if your dog greeted every walk with excitement instead of hesitation, and you knew exactly how to keep them that way? Pretty incredible to imagine, right?

🐾Now, let's make it your reality.🐾

Introducing Strong Foundations

Your dog does not need a perfect routine. They need consistent support, thoughtful movement, and a clear path to build strength and confidence.

Strong Foundations gives you that path.

What's inside Strong Foundations:

Module 1: Move

In Move, you'll gently introduce your dog to new ways of moving with three simple exercises: 3 legged balance, cavalettis, and backwards walking. These movements wake up your dog's body awareness, meaning their sense of where their paws and body are in space. That's the foundation for everything that follows. A dog who's more aware of their body moves with more confidence and control, and that makes the strength and balance work in later modules safer and more effective.

After finishing Module 1, you'll:

🐾 Build your dog's balance and core control with 3 legged balance. You'll start to see your dog standing more evenly and confidently on all four feet, and catch any side that's harder for them.

🐾 Help your dog become more aware of where they place their feet with cavalettis. You'll notice fewer toe drags and trips, and more intentional, coordinated steps on walks.

🐾 Wake up your dog's hind end with backwards walking. You'll see your dog become more coordinated and aware of their back end, which sets them up to get up, sit, and handle stairs more easily later on.

By the end of Move, you'll have a simple daily routine you feel confident doing, and a dog who's moving more mindfully and ready to build real balance in Module 2.

Module 2: Balance

In Balance, you'll build on the body awareness from Move with new exercises. They will challenge your dog to stay steady while shifting weight, turning, and moving in new directions. That's exactly what everyday life asks of them, whether it's turning to greet you, stepping around furniture, or keeping their footing on a walk. Better balance means more stability and confidence, and fewer slips or wobbles as they age.

After finishing Module 2, you'll:

🐾 Strengthen your dog's stability with elevated balance positions. You'll see them hold positions longer with less wobbling, and feel steadier under your hands.

🐾 Improve your dog's flexibility and control through turns with figure 8s. These gentle turns encourage your dog to bend evenly through their body in both directions. You'll notice smoother, more fluid turns and spot whether one direction feels easier for them.

🐾 Build side-to-side strength and coordination with side stepping. Dogs rarely move sideways on their own, so this works muscles that help keep them stable when they shift their weight. You'll see your dog become more confident moving in every direction, not just forward.

By the end of Balance, your dog will be steadier on their feet and more confident in their body, ready to start building real strength in Module 3.

MODULE 3: BUILD

In Build, you'll take the balance and body awareness your dog has gained and start building real strength with four exercises. These target the muscles your dog relies on every day to get up off the floor, climb stairs, hop into the car, and keep up on walks. Strength is what helps your dog keep doing the things they love, comfortably and confidently, for years to come.

After finishing Module 3, you'll:

🐾 Build hind end strength and control with around the worlds. This asks your dog's back legs and core to work together while they stay balanced up front. You'll notice your dog moving their back end with more awareness and control, and spot whether one direction is harder for them.

🐾 Strengthen your dog's core and back legs with duck unders. Ducking under asks your dog to bend, stretch, and push through with their back legs. You'll see more flexibility through their spine and more strength when they move from low to high positions.

🐾 Combine strength, coordination, and flexibility with cavalettis in a circle. The curve asks your dog to lift each paw with purpose while bending through their body. You'll notice more coordinated, confident steps and smoother turns in both directions.

🐾 Make getting up easier with sit to stands. This is one of the most important everyday movements for an aging dog. You'll see your dog getting up from a sit, and off the floor, more easily and with less hesitation.

By the end of Build, your dog will be stronger, more stable, and better able to handle everyday activities, ready to put it all together into a routine that lasts in Module 4 and really thrive.

MODULE 4: THRIVE

In Thrive, you'll bring everything together into a routine that's built around your dog and lasts well beyond these 8 weeks. Choosing your dog's favorite and most helpful exercises from Move, Balance, and Build turns what you've learned into a lifelong habit, which is the key to keeping your dog strong and comfortable as they age.

After finishing Module 4, you'll:

  • Create a personalized routine for your dog. You'll choose the exercises that work for you and your dog and that they enjoy, and build two routines you can rotate to keep things fresh. You'll walk away with a plan that fits your dog and your schedule, in just 10 to 15 minutes a day.
  • See how far your dog has come. You'll repeat the 3 Move Mobility Checklist and compare it to your starting score. You'll see real proof of your dog's progress and know exactly what to keep working on.
  • Know how to keep your dog thriving long term. You'll learn when and how to progress exercises, what changes to watch for, and when to check in with your vet. You'll feel confident caring for your dog's mobility for years to come, not just for 8 weeks.

By the end of Thrive, you'll have a dog who's moving stronger and more confidently, and a simple routine to keep them by your side for many more walks, car rides, and couch cuddles.

Frequently asked questions

Is this course for senior dogs? (10+ years old)

🐾Yes. We would love to start before the double digits but this is exactly why the program exists. Strong Foundations can be a helpful fit for many senior dogs who need thoughtful, low-pressure strength and mobility support. Always check with your veterinarian if your dog has pain, injury, or a medical condition that needs to be managed first.

Does my dog need to be a large breed?

🐾No. This course is all inclusive to breeds and sizes. Some modifications may be needed but all activities can and should be done with all dogs regardless of breed and size.

Does my dog need to be athletic?

🐾No. This course is about building a movement foundation. It is designed for dog parents who want to support better movement, strength, balance, and confidence at a manageable pace.

What if my dog has severe arthritis?

🐾This program is not a rehabilitation program, however the activities are low impact and safe for mild-moderate arthritis. For more severe cases the exercises are still appropriate but may require a little modification on your part. We always recommend a thorough evaluation by your veterinarian if there are any questions on your dog's ability.

Does my dog need to be well trained?

🐾Not at all! If your dog will follow a treat, toy or your lead on a leash you're ready. Every exercise uses simple treat luring, and the videos show you exactly how to guide your dog (even if they don't want a treat), no cues required.

Do I need special equipment?

🐾 No advanced special equipment is required to get started. A set up of poles or broom sticks, and an elevated surface or exercise step will be used, but the videos discuss other options too. The focus is on simple, practical movement work you can do at home, with things around your home.

How much time does this take?

🐾Strong Foundations is designed to fit into real life. Short, consistent sessions are more useful than long, overwhelming ones. Typical sessions are 10-15 minutes, performed 5 days a week.

Is this a rehab program?

🐾No. Strong Foundations is not a canine physical rehab program and does not replace veterinary care. It is an educational course to help dog parents support general mobility, strength, and confidence. It was designed by a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, with many pups in mind but does not replace veterinary care and evaluations.

What if my dog finds an exercise difficult?

🐾The goal is not to push your dog. The goal is to help them build confidence and control over time. If something feels too hard, you can slow down, simplify, there are a few trouble shooting videos if you get really stuck. If there is a drastric change in your dogs movement or behavior seek professional veterinarian care.

What if it doesn't help my dog?

🐾While there are no specific guarantees, we can confidently say if you truly commit to the program and intentional movemetns with your dog there will be noticeable changes in their mobility and strength around the home. However, in the event after you complete all 8 weeks, and can show proof of working with your dog, and you are still not able to see changes you can request a partial refund.
